REGISTER YOUR DATA PRIVACY PROCESSING SYSTEMS

The National Privacy Commission just launched its Registration System (NPCRS) and the NPC Circular No. 2022-04 took effect on January 11, 2023.

The said Circular requires organization processing personal data to register its data processing systems with the NPC through its NPCRS web portal on or before July 10, 2023.

If your organization:

1. Employs two hundred fifty (250) or
more persons;
2. Process sensitive personal information of one thousand (1,000) more individuals;
3. Is involved in processing that likely pose a risk to the rights of data subjects; or
4. Is a government agency/instrumentality

then you are covered by the mandatory registration requirement.
